Day 8 - School day + Calgary Zoo
Day 8
18/7/2024
School day + Calgary Zoo
Today has been filled with a variety of different activities. In the morning, we've learned ways to expand our sentences, to make them more descriptive and sound better. We've learned some new words, which include 'jolly', 'shocked', 'scared', 'fearful', 'envy', and 'astonished'.
In the afternoon, we arrived at the Wilder Calgary Zoo and had lunch in the van. The whole group shared their lunch with each other. First, we saw a penguin, which was pretty cute. Then we saw bighorn sheep, Rocky Mountain goats, owls, deer, rhinoceros, sea otters, a small and cute silver wolf, whooping cranes, brown bears, hedgehogs, cougars, rock hyraxes, giraffes, hippos, a cute lion, a cool blue dragonfly, black-and-white ruffed lemurs, ring-tailed lemurs, peacocks, flamingos, camels, Malayan tapirs, monkeys, and adorable red pandas. We also saw leopards, which are a big cat species. Finally, we saw a lot of butterflies.
(By the way, today was really hot, and we were about to faint.)
